Mill
Creek Surveys Begin
|
|
Our
brave team of volunteer surveyors has begun the 1.5 mile trek
down Mill Creek from Hellman bridge to McCarty Rd. in Chino
(Thank
you Eric, Melissa, Patrick, Rolando, Ken, Barry & Ryan)

This
picture shows only a portion of the debris they have documented
so far - there is plenty more.
What
is Waterkeeper doing about it?
MARK YOUR CALENDARS for May 1 and May
2 to join Waterkeeper and Big
Sunday to perform a large-scale trash cleanup. Tasks
available for all.
Stay
tuned for another cleanup project when we partner with Hands-On
Inland Empire in April, 2010!
What
else?
JOIN our volunteers! Once a week our team surveys the debris and
other findings of three 300' transects on both sides of the creek.
Requires 2-4 hours. Call 951-689-6842 to learn how you can join.
*Note: rigorous terrain!*
This
project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
